Il dipinto ad olio
"Broadway Nature"
urbana contemporanea.
Al centro della composizione,
in primo piano, troviamo
Winnie the
Pooh e
Pimpi.
ENGLISH
The oil
painting "Broadway Nature" by Carlo Trevisan (50x70 cm)
oil on wood
is
a fascinating work that plays on the surreal contrast between
bucolic imagery and contemporary urban iconography.
At the
center of the composition, in the foreground, are Winnie the
Pooh and Piglet. The two characters are rendered in a style
reminiscent of classic illustration, captured in a moment of
joyful lightheartedness as they walk hand in hand along a dirt
path. The disruptive element hangs above their heads: a green
street sign reading "Broadway" and a typical New York
traffic light. These modern elements seem to float or be
artificially grafted onto a landscape that is not their own.
The
background is a natural landscape with autumnal tones, rendered
with a textured and vibrant brushstroke. The warm colors of the
leaves and the soft light of the sky create a nostalgic and almost
dreamlike atmosphere.
"Broadway
Nature" represents a visual short circuit between the purity of
childhood (and nature) and the frenzy of the metropolis.
The
artist uses a traditional painting technique to insert pop and
urban symbols, creating an ironic narrative. Broadway, usually
associated with concrete and footlights, is here "transported" to
the Hundred Acre Wood.
The work
invites the viewer to reflect on the overlap between the worlds of
fantasy, urban reality, and the return to a more natural and
slower dimension.
